(HTI receives Oregon Innovation Council Enhanced Phase 0 Program Award.
Health Technology Innovations (HTI), based in Portland and founded in 2017 by a small group of former Intel engineers, is developing medical image processing solutions using artificial intelligence and machine learning. HTI is partnering with OHSU’s National Cryo-EM Research Center to improve processing and analysis of large imaging datasets using cryogenic electron microscopy (cryo-EM) to accelerate disease and drug discoveries. HTI’s CEO, Tuan Phamdo, said “HTI is very honored to be selected for this prestigious award. The grant will help accelerate development of our machine learning prototype for cryo-EM and put us on a strong path to further development, funding and commercialization. HTI is partnering closely with local research centers and academic institutions, such as the OHSU cancer center, PSU and OTRADI. Our vision is to establish Oregon as one of the leading hubs for artificial intelligence in medical imaging.”
